Golf Etiquette

In order to preserve the superb quality of the course, please replace divots, repair pitch-marks and rake bunkers. For your enjoyment and that of others, please maintain a reasonable speed of play. If you lose one hole on the players in front, please invite any following group to play through. Avoid slow play at all times.

Handicap Certificates

At present it is not necessary to provide a handicap certificate but the Club does reserve the right to refuse permission to play if a player’s lack of ability is to the detriment of others on the course.

Dress Code

In the Clubhouse and on the course, blue denim/original
colour denim, tracksuits, trainers and collarless shirts are not permitted and gentlemen must have shirts tucked into trousers at all times. On the course, tailored shorts are permitted with either long or short white sports socks and can be worn in the Clubhouse before 9pm. Hats are to be removed in the Clubhouse along with over trousers and other wet clothing.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones are not permitted to be used in the Clubhouse, Bar or Restaurant and must not be used on the course. Messages can be left at the Pro Shop.

Liabilities

Chipping Norton Golf Club does not accept liability for loss or damage to vehicles, golfing equipment, items of personal effect, personal injury or injury to third parties and the Club strongly recommends that each player has comprehensive insurance cover.
